Fun Fun Fun..

- Mustelids occupy every continent except Antarctica

- The Least Weasel is the smallest carnivore AND the smallest mustelid!!!

- Weasels, along with ermines and ferrets, were purposely introduced to New Zealand in 1884 in an attempt to control the rabbit populations invading the sheep pastures.  Unfortunately this attempt was unsuccessful.

-Weasels do not prefer to defecate in their dens, instead they have an area similar to our bathrooms that is used strictly for defecation purposes.

- According to the Minnesota DNR, the Least Weasel fluoresces in ultraviolet light...wow!

- Weasels are not considered endangered or threatened
