Habitat
Turritopsis are found in temperate and tropical waters worldwide. This particular species is most common in the West Atlantic (Miglietta et al. 2007). It has also been studied in the Eastern Ligurian Riviera in Italy (Bavastrello 1992). T. nutricula seems to prefer shallow water, and is very widespread.
