Reproduction
In hydrozoa, asexual reproduction in the polyp stage gives rise to the medusa, which then reproduces sexually to form polyps. Turritopsis nutricula is capable of actually transforming back into polyp stage directly from the medusa stage, without reproduction occurring (Carla' et al. 2003).
