Linum marginale, commonly known as Native flax or wild flax is an erect perennial herb which can grow anywhere from 30 to 60 cm high. The flowers are blue, with darker veins and white stamen. Linum marginale is indigenous to southern Australia and found in a range of different habitat. Indigenous people ate the seeds and the stems fibers were used to make fish nets and cords.
