My name is Jeffery Benike. Born and
raised in Pine Island, Minnesota. I am now a junior at
the
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am a Psychology major with
minors in biology and
sociology. I am not really sure what the
future has in store for me yet, but whatever it is, I
will make
the most of it.
My name is Zoe Simon. I am sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I grew up in Northwood’s just outside of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. I am currently double majoring in Biology Education and Chemistry Education, in the hopes of teaching secondary school.
We both very active members of campus, and in our free time we enjoy hiking the bluffs of La Crosse by day and star gazing by night.
This website was a project for a course called Organismal Biology. We chose the Harpy Eagle because it came highly recommended to us by our laboratory professor, Eric Snively. Check out some of his awesome work, http://eric-snively-uwlax.com/. The Harpia harpyja appealed to us immediately once we realized the power it had in the animal kingdom. With its sleek appearance, and killer claws we could not pass up the opportunity to learn more about this organism, and I hope you found this website resourceful and entertaining.
If you are interested in learning more about other organisms chosen by my classmates then please visit multipleorganisms.net where you can find information on things like a mango, and ostrich or even the medicinal leech!
If you have any questions about the Harpy Eagle or other information found on this website please do not hesitate to contact either of us:
