The following are symptoms that are commonly associated with Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. M. pneumoniae infections evolve slowly with symptoms not developing until two to three weeks after infection.

General Symptoms

*      High Fever

*      Dry Cough

*      Tracheal Tenderness (due to prolonged coughing)

*      Headache

*      Chills

*      Sore Throat

*      Excessive Sweating

 Clinical Symptoms       

*      Enlarged Lymph Nodes

*      Inflammation of the Tympanic membrane          

*      Crackling Lung Sounds

*      Especially Slow Progression of General Symptoms
