-The Christmas Cactus has a unique characteristic where
someone can take an individual leaf off of a plant and put it in the ground and it grows into a new plant!
-The Christmas Cactus has many different names because of the times when it flowers. Naturally it flowers around Christmas, but because of people adjusting the environment, it can bloom any time of the year. People have made it bloom around other holidays giving the cactus the names Easter Cactus and Thanksgiving Cactus!
-When you think of a cactus, you do not usually imagine one in a hanging basket. However, Christmas Cacti are very frequently sold in hanging baskets!
