My name is Abby Stauder and I am currently a junior at the
University of Wisconsin- La Crosse.
I absolutely love the setting of the University
here. From
climbing the bluffs, biking the marshes, and swimming in the
Mississippi river in the summer to snowshoeing and skiing in the
winter- La Crosse is a blast and a half.
This project was for my Organismal Biology course, under the
teachings of D. Gregory Sandland and Dr. Thomas Volk. I
choose to research the ostrich, because I have always found them
intriguing, but never really had a need to study them.
What a neat way to learn about a species!
I am planning on majoring in Biology with a biomedical emphasis,
and I hope to continue my biology studies either here in
Wisconsin, or in another fun state.
While I have learned a huge amount about the ostrich through
this project, I am nowhere near an expert status. So
please, if you see any errors, please feel free to contact me at
my email below. I would love to hear your input.
I hope you have found this webpage interesting, it sure was just
that with making it. You can always learn something new,
and sometimes information comes to you in the most unexpected
ways.
Thanks so much!
