About Me
My name is Chris Koppa. I am a senior (going to be a super senior) at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. I am majoring in Biology (Biomedical concentration). I was born and raised in Austin, MN (the home of SPAM and John Madden). I hope to end up somewhere in the allied health field, but I don't quite know what I want to do. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano, reading, swimming, and hanging out with my friends and family.
I chose the Eurasian water shrew because I wanted to see how something so small could thrive in an environment that has organisms that are much much bigger than it. Turns out that not only does it survive in its environment, it thrives. I also chose this organism because there isn't a lot of information out there about how this organism lives in its environment and I thought that I would try to challenge myself to see how much I could learn about the Eurasian water shrew. Much of the information related to this organism is all under experimental control and there is still a lot that needs to be discovered about this organism. The more I kept reading, the more I started to appreciate just how this organism is able to survive in its environment.
Thanks for checking out my webpage. I hope you found some interesting information about the Eurasian water shrew. If you have any questions or would like to give some feedback, feel free to contact me or my professors, Dr. Sandland and Dr. Volk.
