Habitat and Geography

The Eurasian water shrew can be found primarily in burrows along the banks of many streams and rivers in various parts of Europe and Asia that have lush vegetation. The Eurasian water shrew likes to be near areas of water that are clean and have a rapid current, which aids them while they hunt. They are also found in water-cress beds, ponds, and marshes. In addition, they have also been found in grasslands, woodlands, and other areas that are not in close proximity to water.
