Hispaniolan solenodon

Contact Me

Hey! My name is Hannah Lawinger and I am a freshman at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I am majoring in biology with a concentration in biomedical sciences. I am also minoring in Spanish. After La Crosse, I plan to attend medical school and eventually become a pediatric surgeon. I would also like to study diseases in developing countries and strive to provide better living conditions.

I grew up in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, which is in the southwest part of the state. I love being outdoors and playing sports! My favorite sports are softball and basketball. I also love going to Brewer games and watching the Packers.

I created this website for my Organismal Biology class which is taught by Dr. Gregory Sandland and Dr. Thomas Volk. The theme for this semester was venomous and poisonous organisms. I chose the Hispaniolan solenodon because I had never heard of this creature before and I wanted to find out about it. If you happen to be the same way, I hope my page has helped you to better understand this fascinating organism! Thank you for looking at my page!

If you have any questions feel free to contact me at lawinger.hann@uwlax.edu
