Hello!
My name is Amanda Ward and I am currently a freshman at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. My hometown is Kenosha, WI. I am majoring in Biomedical Science and Pre-Med with a minor in Chemistry. When I am not engaged in my studies, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and travelling the world! I hope to travel to every continent one day.

This website was made for a class I am taking, Organismal Biology. The theme of this semester's website project was venomous and poisonous organisms. I chose Shigella sonnei because I wanted to learn more about a bacteria that is harmful to the human system and how it can be treated. I was very surprised with how far science had come throughout the years. It was incredible to learn about a parasitic bacteria that had no cure at one time and how science improved over the years and found a cure. If you are interested in learning more about venomous and poisonous organisms, you can find a lot more at MultipleOrganisms.net webpage.

I hope you all enjoyed my webpage and took some information with you for the future! Knowledge and awareness is key to prevention!
