They're Popping Up Everywhere-- Plagiobothrys nothofulvus, the Popcorn Flower
Don’t let its name fool you-- the popcorn flower does not really
smell like popcorn. It does, however, bear a resemblance to
everybody’s favorite movie time snack. Plagiobothrys
nothofulvus can be found growing in grassy fields in the
northwestern United States (LBJ Wildflower Center 2014, Rickett 1971) .
