My name is Jenna Sturz, I am from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and I am a second semester freshman at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am biology major with a biomedical concentration, along with minoring in Spanish and chemistry, with the hopes of joining the medical field someday. I have always enjoyed science classes, biology in particular, so getting to learn so much about the Common Genet was a fun experience! The topic pages that I created were Reproduction and Interactions.

I am Elisabeth Miramontes, and I am also a second semester freshman at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. I am from Appleton Wisconsin and I’m majoring in biology with physical therapy influence and minoring in psychology. The sciences are something I have always been interested in studying, so when I got the opportunity to shadow a Pediatric Physical Therapist in high school, I knew that that’s what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Learning about the Common genet was interesting, I had never heard of a genet before this project. I had the opportunity to make the Habitat and Form and Function pages and I definitely learned a lot!

This webpage was created during the Spring 2014 semester at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse as an assignment for an Organismal Biology class taught by Dr. Thomas Volk and Dr. Eric Snively. Neither of us were familiar with the Common Genet before the assignment, so once we saw how cute of an animal the Common Genet was we wanted to learn more!

We hope that you enjoyed our website and learned more about the Common Genet!
