Because little research has been conducted on the Vertigo cristata, here is some info about land snails in general...

Most land snails are generally herbivores (eating only plants and vegetation), others also feed on detrius or fungus.  There are some species that are carnivorous, but they are very rare.  Carnivorous snails consume slugs, snails, and other various invertebrates from the dirt.

Snails are preyed upon by animals such as small mammals, amphibians, birds, reptiles, beetle and fly larvae, and insects (Lee 2007).
