Habitat
Vertigo hubrichti
is found across the Midwest in
Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, just to name a few inhabited
states, but is endangered
(Frest 1991). They are nearly extinct, therefore it
has been hard to find them. Once found however, they seem to be
located in similar environments. Most are found in algific
slopes or on cliffs
(Michigan 2007). Another
place they live is within the decaying leaves that have fallen
off of trees but they
avoid moss and fern covered areas. Some are even found at cliff
bases.
