Interactions: Well hey there!

The Luna Moth is generally a harmless creature as the adult stage of the species is solely for reproduction. Also the moths are not poisonous by any means so the adult moth does not pose any real threat to humans, other species, or the environment. The moths however use wing patterns such as it's eyespots as a defense mechanism to scare predators away from the moth. One way that humans are benefited by the Luna moth is that it has been used in biology classrooms to help teach insects holometabolous metamorphosis lifecycles to students.  (Patlan 2000)
