  • They are smaller than 5mm! - height: 2.7 to 3 mm ; diameter: 4 to 4.7 mm (Pilsbry, 1940).

  • "They are not only small but when alive [their shells are] covered with the periostracal hairs which retain a lot of dirt!" - Mr. Bill Frank

  • They bear a long and narrow lung without secondary veins (Pilsbry, 1940).

  • They have a long kidney, three times smaller than the pericardium (Pilsbry, 1940).

  • The penis is 5mm long! (Pilsbry, 1940). This is probably and adaptation to overcome some environmental pressures that might have had negative impacts on their mating success.
