About Me
Hi and thanks for visiting my site! My name is Mollie Ostrander and April of 2010 is my second semester as a freshman at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am a Biology major with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences. I made this website as part of my organismal biology class (bio 203).
As a part of this project I went "frog hunting" in the local marsh by Myrick Park in La Crosse WI. It was a really interesting experience and frogs were not the only creatures I encountered during my endeavor. Among the organisms were chickadees, ducks, worms, red-winged black birds, crows, toads, frogs, and more. I have to say, marsh wading with a net requires a lot of balance. If I did it again I would wear taller boots, knee-highs weren't quite high enough. Some advice: frogs are super fast, so you have to be quick!. All in all it was a good time and a cool experience.
