*They truly do exhibit most of the colors of the rainbow in their plumage- the head is usually violet or blue, the belly is yellow and orange, the eyes and the beak are red, and the wings and the tail are green!

*Like other parrots, rainbows can be bought as pets, but owners are encouraged to try and buy a male and female pair so they can mate. It is also recommended that rainbow lorikeets are not caged with other species, because they are not very tolerant.
