Habitat
The Amelanchier Canadensis can be located throughout the East Coast of the United States and some regions of Canada. In the United States, Shadbush trees are generally found from the coast of Maine down through the Carolinas.
Amelanchier Canadensis prefer wet areas over dry land. The areas preferred by this tree would include bogs and swamps. This plant can grow in all types of soils, from sand to a clay soil. Amelanchier Canadensis can grow in heavy clay, but it is not the desired type of soil.
In order to grow the Amelanchier Canadensis needs partly shaded to full out sunny areas.
