Amanita bisporigera "The Destroying Angel" - BIO203

Contact Me

My name is Matt Birschbach and I am currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I am currently a pre-pharmacy student here with aspirations to gain a doctorate in pharmacology and eventually become a pharmacist.  This website was created for educational purposes and as part of an Organismal Biology class taught by Dr. Thomas Volk and Dr. Greg Sandland. As part of our class each one of us was asked to create a website about an organism that was either poisonous or vemonous. Learning about Amanita biosporangia has really enabled me to understand the kingdom of fungi to a greater extent than I have done in the past. It also has taught me that organisms have the ability to produce very lethal toxins that are extremely hard to treat even with modern medical advances.  In my free time I love to play sports, specifically basketball and during the summer I love to golf. I also love to travel  when I have the opportunity. If you have any questions or comments about my website. Please feel free to contact me.
