Habitat

The Amber Glass snail lives in many different areas in the Americas and have been found to prefer turf soils (Nekola, 2003) regardless of how acidic or neutral the soil is (Nekola, 2010). The Amber Glass snail is part of a group of many other snail species that frequently inhabit lowland grasslands and lowland forests (Nekola, 2003). Lowland forests and grasslands are commonly found near floodplains, much like the areas surrounding the Mississippi River.
