Reproduction
Snails can either be monoecious, meaning
that one organism contains both the female
and male sexes, or dioecious, meaning that
the sexes are separate(Hickman,
2009). Snails in the
family Polygyridae are monoecious and
usually reproduce at night. This
family of snails is distinguished by their
reproductive organs.
