Species:Vertigo hubrichti
This is a very small snail only reaching two millimeters (2mm) in
height. Its shell
contains
5 to 5.5 whorls which is quite intricate for its size (Minnesota
Department of Natural Resources 2011). Within the
opening of its shell there are six orange teeth present, although the
use for those is unknown. The aperture (main opening) has deep
impressions over the folds made by the whorls.
This species in endangered across the
Midwest, therefore it has been
hard to find valuable information regarding this species.
