Tree Swallows are migratory, active, song birds that are found in North America during their breeding season and as far south as Central America during the winter. These beautiful birds spend most of their days darting through the air at speeds exceeding 20 mph snatching up their meals.  They are very aggressive compared to their other swallow relatives, defending their territory around their nest site at all costs.

The male in the above picture shows their very beautiful color having an upper side being a metallic blue with a greenish shade and their underbody being white.  Keep reading on and learn more about these magnificent creatures by clicking Classification.
